What the hell's your problem, punk? First of all, They call them Sailors because that's the roughly translated Japenese word for soldiers or fighters. Second of all, they fight in Japan because a) they want to attract the scouts so they can destroy them. b) In the cartoon, there are large amounts of people whose energy levels have reached their peak. And c) Naoko made the series to be in Japan because ITS HER CARTOON! That's where she wanted it to take place, and that's where it did, so what do you wanna do about it? My title was true. You are right, some of the things about Sailor Moon are kind of dumb, but I still like the show. I guess you'd call me a moonie. I'm going to be nice, but I'm going to be blunt. You have a few points on Sailormoon (and it is Sailodmoon, not "Sialor moon" "Sailor moon" is the Amercanized version), but it appears you 1.) have not see the original, 2.) haven't see much anime to begin with, 3.) are rather mainstream, and 4.) never watched much of the "Sailor Moon" series aired here in the first place.
A show will be placed in the country that the creator comes from. This shows patrism, jsut as when a show is created by someone from the US (Comic books... .especially belong in this category) it happens in the US. And you don't seem to know or appreaciate the values and culture of other countries. This is extremly close minded thinking, aside from the fact that is usual incorrect and rude. Most anmie characters look like Americans because 1.) The Japanese admire us (Wow..... that's rather nice, don't you think) and 2.) Americans
