| What's on your mind?: | Why does Cartoon Network show Dragonball Z so much? Sometimes it's on four or five times a day. Sometimes it's on for two hours at a time. Don't you think that's just a little bit excessive? Fans of this show must have seen every episode numerous times by now. I've seen a lot of episodes, and I actively try to avoid it. It takes up valuable time that could be used to show good anime. Cartoon Network was showing the original Mobile Suit Gundam and they stopped right in the middle of the series and started using the time slot to fit more DBZ into the day. They should have at least finished the series first. What the hell is wrong with these people? |

Yes, I love yaoi, but I've never said that I thought it was better or worse than hetero couples. I agree that Heero and Relena is just... ug. Though I have writen several HeeroxRelena stories, doesn't mean I like them. What really disappointed me was the childish and cruel way some people wrote their 'opinions'. | What's on your mind?: | I'm new to this stuff. So mangas are pretty much comic
books, right? Who likes Digimon? I didn't like this Jap stuff at all until I watched that and realized all the quallities of the Indo-European and Semitic epics. I would never have guessed that the Japs were capable of such things (but I still don't like the red Chinx). I also saw a bunch of Blood Reign stuff and it bared the same qualities. I have been watching Digimon for a while now and I have noticed some interesting parallels to classical liturature. In the second season the relationship between Ken and Davis is quite similar to that between Gilgamesh and Enkidu in that, in the begining, Ken and Davis wanted nothing more than to destroy one another, but once Ken's power as the evil Digimon emperor was broken they became the best of friends. Their friendship became so strong that their heartbeats became syncronized and their Digimon could DNA digivolve with each other. I suppose I have written enough on this topic, so you can trust me or read the epic of Gilgamesh yourself. I've noticed that a lot of the heros and other characters have blond and red hair like good northern Europeans. I have new respect for the Japs now, but I still don't know what they were thinking when they tried to take us on in WWII. I agree with what you said in your anti-Sailor Moon page. Amreican cartoons are the funniest of all by far. I really don't like American action cartoons except for X-Men, other comic-based cartoons (besides Spiderman and Superman), and the ones from my early youth such as Heman, Thundercats, Transformers, and the like. I find it ironic that if I want the barbaric violence reminisant of ancient and clasic Europeans I have to turn to Japanese animr. By the way, anime (with accent grave) in French for animation, which is kind of funny, I guess. I guess the only thing I don't like about Asian violence, though I will accept it in the context of anime, is all the kicking. I'm not a big fan of East Asian combat (i.e. ninjas, karate, etc.). Notice that I did not use the term martial arts, since the martial arts, unless aided by some specific adjective, are the practices of war in general. Therefore, Napoleonic warfare, for example, is still catagorized as a martial art. I had to say this because I hate it when people either attach an inapropriate definition to a word or limit it to a single definition when it is intended form more. Oh yeah, and I really like the evil Digimon masters, especially Myotismon in all his forms, Piedmon, Apocalymon, Ken, and Owikawa, though the last two were really just pupets for Myotismon |

I read your Pit O' Eternal Flames yesterday, and laughed my butt off. Isn't it amazing how many people seem to believe that the First Amendment was written only for them? They must, since so many people have asked you to deny/forgo your right to say whatever the heck you want on your own page just so that they can sleep better at night. Well.... I'd buy my school and fire all the teachers I don't like, I'd have all of my irritating classmates hung, drawn, and quartered, I'd buy some major broadcasting company and have them make a new TV channel, on which the only thing shown is the animes that I like (GW, Kodocha, Weiss Kreuz....), I'd put YTV out of business for taking away my beloved Gundam Wing, I'd buy every manga in the world and have my own private company translate them all for me, I'd produce whole CD's full of images from assorted animes in all sorts of galleries, I'd set up a fund for people struggling to pay domain name costs, organize a web page devoted to giving the public all the anime they deserve in formats that they can use (no more streamloading or RAR's or any of those for me!), and the list goes on, with much hurting of those who oppose me. |
